Annual Check Up

An annual check up is a must for your dogs and cats to keep them healthy and prevent disease.

The annual check generally includes the following items:

  • Physical Exam – We examine the coat, skin, ears, eyes, mouth and paws to look for lumps, rashes, unusual hair loss and other indicators of potential concerns.
  • Blood Work – Even in seemingly healthy animals regular bloodwork can detect early changes in overall health and organ function.
  • Dental Health
  • Heart and Lungs
  • Annual Vaccinations
  • Prescriptions – We will provide prescriptions for any required medications that can be purchased through an online pharmacy.

Heartworm Tests

Heartworm disease is a threat to both dog and cats. Heartworm disease is caused by parasitic worms that infect the animal through the bite of a mosquito. A regular heartworm test will identify any potential infection. Couple with a monthly or annual heartworm medication to keep your cats and dogs safe and healthy.

Puppy/Kitten Shots

Puppies and kittens require multiple vaccinations to get a healthy start on life. Vaccinations occur on a schedule for the first 24 weeks of your pets’ life:

  • Initial Vaccinations: 8 weeks old
  • Vaccines will then be needed every 3 weeks for a total of 4 boosters

Puppies should be vaccinated for Distemper, Parvovirus, Rabies and Hepatitis. Other vaccinations may include Bordetella and Leptospirosis.

Kittens should be vaccinated for Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, Rabies and Leukemia.

Additional Services

  • Nail Trimming
  • Microchipping

For any required surgeries including spaying and neutering, we are happy to refer to you to several of the reputable veterinary offices in the area.
